Candidate for the position of Netball - Vice President

Patsy Ruthven

Hello!

My name is Patsy Ruthven and I am a first year Child Nursing Student. I have a huge passion for netball ever since I was in secondary school, I was captain for two years and I hope to carry on playing in LSBU. Due to COVID we weren't able to participate in any games but that didn't stop me. from practising at home. I know I haven't had much experience in any Roles in LSBU but I feel like. i do have little knowledge which is why I am running for the role in Vice President so that I can contribute. to the development of LSBU sports to be able to continue to. improve the oppotunites and provision of sport at LSBU.

My Goals and main aims in this positions would be to:

Atmosphere: Develop and bring back the original atmosphere around LSBU sport. Due to COVID, we weren't able to play at all which is disappointing, hopefully next year we are able to train and play and create a. really good and healthy atmosphere.

Teams: I aim to work closely with the LSBU staff and club committee to. ensure committees are still speaking up and the students experience within LSBU sports as affordable and enjoyable as possible.

Mental Health: I also want to be able to work closely with those who need support, where they need someone to talk to and make sure they don't feel isolated or alone. so that they can be able to express themselves and have fun which i believe is very important.
