Our society will provide members with information, opportunities and activities specifically aimed at those pursuing a career as a barrister as well as promoting inclusion and diversity at the Bar. This society will offer assistance with mooting, an activity run by the law division. Mooting incorporates the development of research, team work and advocacy skills all of which are not only essential at the Bar but within many other careers in and outside the legal profession. As a member of this society there is not a requirement to moot.

The Bar and Mooting Society is a new society established with the specific aim of providing the essentials for your route to the Bar, including:

• Support the very popular internal mooting competition

• Deadlines for scholarship and pupillage applications

• Visits to the Inns of Court, exclusively arranged for members of our society

• Talks, lectures and Q & A's

• Opportunities to network with members of the legal profession, including practising barristers, judges and former LSBU law students

• Social events and activities
