Who are we?

Based at the heart of London’s Elephant & Castle, we are working towards our new 2025 ambition to become a relevant, responsive and truly transformative students’ union that improves the lives of students on every course and beyond at London South Bank University - representing students’ academic interests and contributing to a prosperous, thriving and civic learning community.

We are often looking for outstanding and energised professionals to join us in a number of roles across the organisation - taking forward the union’s operations and supporting students at LSBU to reach their true potential.

Student roles

Our applications for the student staff roles 25/26 academic year are now open. These are paid student staff roles, open to London South Bank University students to work alongside their studies only.

Communications Assistant

Are you interested in Advertising, Marketing and Communications? Do you have a passion for design and social media? We are hiring for Communications Assistants! These roles are part-time roles for LSBU students to take up alongside their studies. This role would suit LSBU students looking to gain experience and their first step towards a career in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Branding or Sales.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place on either Thursday 31st July or Tuesday 5th August.

Community and Events Assistant

Are you interested in creating strong communities within LSBU, in organising and delivering high class events? ​We are looking for highly motivated team players with an interest in helping us to run events and build communities. This is a part-time role for LSBU students to take up alongside their studies.​ This role would suit LSBU students looking to gain experience in Project and Events Management, Community Creation and Supports or Communications.​

Office and People Assistant

Are you passionate about creating a positive workplace culture? Do you enjoy organising, supporting teams, and making things run smoothly? Are you a people person with a knack for problem-solving?​ We are hiring for People & Office Assistants! These roles are part-time roles for LSBU students to take up alongside their studies. This role would suit LSBU students looking to gain experience and take their first step towards a career in HR, Office Management, or People Operations.​

Student Support Assistant

Are you interested in helping students at LSBU to overcome any issues they may have whilst at University? Do you enjoy helping people, provide them information to overcome their challenges?​ We are hiring for Student Support Assistants! These roles are part-time roles for LSBU students to take up alongside their studies.​
