If you need to speak to someone urgently about your mental health, or someone you are concerned about, you can contact the following organisations:

  • Accident & Emergency at your local hospital. The nearest A&E to LSBU at Southwark is at St Thomas, Westminster Bridge Road, London, SE1 7EH. You can call them on 0207 188 7188  
  • NHS 111 for health advice and reassurance, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Call 111 or visit the NHS website
  • Your doctor/GP
  • The Samaritans provide emotional support for anyone experiencing feelings of distress or despair. Call the Samaritans on 116 123 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from any phone for free. 
  • Papyrus provides support for young people (35 and under) in crisis visit their website here or call 0800 068 4141.
