Exciting updates from your Students' Union for the upcoming academic year.
From 1 July 2025, South Bank Students’ Union is launching a bold new governance structure—and it's all about amplifying your voice.
At the heart of these changes are 10 brand-new Lead Representatives for Schools, one for each academic school at LSBU who you elected back in March. These student leaders will take up their roles in September and will play a vital role in shaping your academic experience, representing your voice on the issues that matter most—from course quality and teaching, to access to resources and student wellbeing.
These Lead Reps will work closely with course reps, staff, and the Students’ Union to make sure student feedback leads to real change. You’ll see them leading campaigns, sitting on key committees, and making sure the student voice is heard at every level of the University.
This is a major step in making the Union more inclusive, transparent, and driven by students. Whether you’re studying business, nursing, engineering or beyond, your school will now have a dedicated voice championing your interests.
We’re excited to build a more representative Union with you at the center. Want to get involved? Keep an eye out for Lead Rep elections across the year and events launching soon! You can also find out more by reading our new Articles of Association and Byelaws here.
