The passing of Queen Elizabeth II - the longest-serving of any monarch in history, marks a sad and significant moment of change in all of our lives.

We are thinking today of those close to Her Majesty the Queen, and send our sympathies to all those who are affected by this loss, or by any loss of someone they admire and are inspired by.

The UK government has announced a bank holiday for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral on Monday 19 September. 

In accordance, South Bank Students' Union will be closed and will open again on Tuesday 20th September.
