On March 10th, in collaboration with our Nepali Community volunteers, we hosted a vibrant Nepali Cultural Evening in the university bar space. The event showcased a rich variety of musical and dance performances led by talented students, alongside a themed quiz that encouraged audience participation and added an interactive element to the evening. We were also delighted to welcome special guest appearances from community leaders across LSBU such as Engineers Without Borders and the Bangladeshi Community which helped strengthen connections and celebrate cultural diversity within LSBU.
The atmosphere throughout the event was warm, lively, and inclusive. The bar space was filled to capacity, reflecting the event’s popularity, and the audience remained attentive and highly engaged from start to finish. Together with our volunteers, we transformed the venue using traditional Nepalese decorations and flags, creating an authentic and immersive environment. Students performed traditional Nepalese folk songs, and multiple dance performances highlighted the richness of Nepalese culture. Overall, the evening was a great success, celebrating heritage while bringing people together in a meaningful and memorable way.
